HONOLULU – Honolulu’s most anticipated Food Festival is coming soon! The Star of the Sea Church and Schools’ 7th Annual East Honolulu Food Festival will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2012, from 5:30-9:30 p.m. on the school grounds in Kahala (4470 Aliikoa Street).
Over 1,800 people attended last year’s event and this year promises to be even bigger and better with fabulous cuisine from Hawaii’s hottest restaurants. Guests will be able to sample delicious food and beverages from 21 different restaurants including: A Cup of Tea, Big City Diner, Blu Water Grill, Cooking Fresh for You, Da Spot Health Foods & Juices, Dave & Buster’s, Elite Catering, 5-0 Hawaiian Style Smoked Ribs, Formaggio Grill, Gourmet Goods, JJ’s French Bistro, Kahala Nui, Kalihi Korner, Kalama Catering, Kona Brewing Company, Maile’s Thai Bistro, Masa & Joyce, Romano’s Macaroni Grill, Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, Soul Patrol, and Sweet Treat’s Buffet.
This year’s theme is Cinco de Mayo. Bring the entire family, dress up, and enjoy the evening’s festivities. Listen to great music and performances by the Rolando Sanchez Band and Kona Winds. Children can enjoy the Keiki Corner complete with rides, games and prizes. Adults can pick up a nice gift from the Silent Auction including travel packages, gift baskets, jewelry, paintings, food and wine items, baked goods, gift certificates, etc.
All proceeds from the Food Festival will benefit the Star of the Sea Church and Schools. Proceeds from previous events have provided classroom smart boards, playground equipment, and new computers for the children.
